How to verify your email

New accounts confirm their email before running the AI. Click the link we send, or use the Resend button in the banner. Google and Apple sign-ins are already verified.

When you create a GPTree account with an email and password, we send you a verification link to confirm the address is really yours. Verifying takes a few seconds and unlocks the AI: you can sign in and look around right away, but sending a message to a model, running a Merge, or using an agent needs a verified email first.

Verify from the email

Open the email titled "Verify your email for GPTree" and click the "Verify email" button. It takes you to a confirmation page and your account is ready. The link expires 60 minutes after it is sent, so use it while it is fresh.

Do not see the email? Check your spam or promotions folder first. The message comes from GPTree and usually arrives quickly, though mail providers sometimes hold a message from a sender they have not seen before, so give it a few minutes before requesting another one.

Resend the link

If the email never arrived or the link has expired, request a new one. When your email is not yet verified, a banner sits at the top of the app with a "Resend link" button. Click it and we send a fresh link to the address on your account. You can also resend from the confirmation page if you followed an expired link.

There is a limit on how often you can resend in an hour, so if you have already requested several links in quick succession, wait a few minutes before trying again.

If your address cannot receive our email

Sometimes a mail provider tells us an address does not exist, usually because of a typo at signup. When that happens we stop sending to it, because nothing we send can arrive. The banner changes to say the address cannot receive email and offers a link to your account profile instead of a resend button.

Open Account, correct the address, and save. The new address gets a fresh verification link straight away, and the old address's problem does not follow you to the corrected one. If you try to save an address we already know is undeliverable, the form tells you rather than accepting it silently.

Signed in with Google or Apple?

Accounts created with Google or Apple sign-in are already verified, because the provider has confirmed the address. You will not see the banner and there is nothing to click. You can start using the AI straight away.

Why GPTree asks for this

Confirming your email keeps automated signups from draining shared capacity, which keeps the free trial available for real people. It also means account recovery and important notices actually reach you. You verify once per address: if you later change the email on your account, the new address needs its own confirmation.
