Both switches sit at the top of the conversation. A temporary chat shows a 24h badge while it is on and is deleted after 24 hours without activity, which suits questions that do not need a paper trail. Turning memory off keeps the conversation but stops it saving or using memories.

Turn on Temporary mode for a chat that saves nothing to memory and is deleted after 24 hours, or switch memory off for just one conversation.
