# Live voice answers as you talk

Voice sessions can now run on Live voice, which answers within about a second in one natural voice while your own AI model writes the detailed answer in your conversation.

Start a voice session and just talk. Live voice hears you and answers as you speak, usually within a second, in the same natural voice from start to finish, and you can cut in whenever you like.

It keeps the conversation going while the real work happens: your questions go to your own AI model, which writes the full answer in your conversation, and the live voice tells you in its own words when it is ready. Say "read it" to hear the whole answer word for word.

There is nothing to set up: voice sessions use Live voice whenever it is available. Every voice session is also kept in Voice history, and shows as a card in the conversation it happened in.
