# GPTree is here: side conversations from any point

Branch a side conversation off any reply, or off a few words you highlight, and your main chat stays exactly as it was.

Every chat tool gives you one thread, so trying a second idea means losing the first. GPTree lets you split off a side conversation instead, and the new branch already knows everything the chat knew at that moment.

There are three ways in: the Branch button at the top of a pane, the Branch icon on any reply, or highlight a few words in a reply and choose Branch from selection. The branch opens in a pane beside the original, and the Conversation Tree on the left shows every branch so you can jump straight back to any of them.

Branching is on every plan, including Free.
