# Branch from ChatGPT with the Chrome extension

The GPTree Chrome extension adds a Branch in GPTree button inside ChatGPT, so one click brings a conversation over for you to branch.

You are thirty messages into a ChatGPT thread and it forks: two directions worth trying. Click Branch in GPTree and the thread lands in GPTree as a normal conversation, ready to branch, compare and merge.
